Hi! I’m Regina, a curious being and a tech philosopher.
I started working when I was 16 as a self-taught graphic designer and part-time customer service agent. During this period I learned about the different ways in which people struggle with digital products, customer complaints, user pain points, CRM, data visualization, ticketing breakdown, loyalty metrics, and legal complications. This experience helped define my current mindset: I believe that products must be designed around the customer. Always.
On my second year of university (I studied B.A. Interaction Design, and B.A. in Fine Arts), a friend decided to found a start-up, Egodeus, and invited me to be the company’s first employee. We won start-up Chile's seed accelerator funding in 2012 and 2013 for our innovative process in Fashion e-commerce, while also achieving the break-even point during our first year in business, and heading towards what would be a highly profitable second year.
Curious to get into Tech, I continued working as UI-UX Designer working for software agencies, where I’ve met incredible individuals in highly challenging start-up environments. One of my clients NoblyPOS hired me as their first designer tasking me with desigining their POS customer facing app. We won a price for the user centered design. The company got adquired by Revolut UK a year after I left.
In 2017 I joined Booking.com and moved to Amsterdam where I could finally explore my passion for customer feedback (CS Reports), dive deep into big data analytics (A/B testing). I had to define customer research, manage product design backlog, and collaborate with data scientists, to generate well informed data based decisions.
Looking forward to making a bigger impact, I founded Black Sheep Group, a Design & Development agency that required me to negotiate, close sales, hire cross-functional professionals, manage projects, define strategy, analyze data, and most importantly, choose my own clients. During this period I had to prove myself as a leader; I redefined my mindset, discovered my values, and found new drive and strength.
In 2022 my passion for finding an alternative to traditional finance I joined several Blockchain projects, influding Synthetix (top 15 DeFi Protocol) and Algorand.
I am highly motivated and believe this will unveil an interesting new chapter in my life.
